Are you insured?
Yes we are! Willis J Entertainment is insured and registered with the state LLC.
Can you handle ALL these song requests from the guests AND us?
Definitely! Music is updated almost daily from record pools we are subscribed to, so it’s rare there’s a song requested that we don’t have access to. Plus, we stream music on the spot!
What will you wear to my wedding?
We have heard horror stories about DJs showing up dressed as if they are going to mow the lawn or just woke up. We do not. We are dressed appropriately every time!
Do you have back up equipment/staff?
We always bring back up just in case the need arises on the day of your event. Also, we never book more gigs than we have DJs available for, so back up is always accessible.
Will we meet or speak with you or our DJ before the wedding?
Definitely will! We love to meet and have a real connection with our couples.
If I want a special mix for a first dance, father-daughter dance, ect., can you make that happen?
Yes, absolutely! We are REAL DJs.
Do you provide anything else other than just DJing?
Yep! We can provide or rent all kinds of equipment (lights, speakers, audio equipment, ect.)
Do we need to hire a professional wedding planner or day-of coordinator?
Short answer. Yes. Long answer. Yes. A great wedding planner or day of coordinator will turn a potentially stressful situation into an easy fun affair. Highly recommended that you get one. We offer this service as well 😁.
Do you accept LGBTQIA+ couples?
This shouldn’t be a question, but 10000% YES! We refuse to deal with any venues and/or vendors that do not. Love is love.
What is your service area?
We are based in Durham, NC and serve the entire area including Southport, Raleigh, Greensboro, Fayetteville, Wilmington, Winston-Salem, Pinehurst, Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, Pittsboro, and Cary. We will travel anywhere to DJ your wedding!
